Emily Anagnostos is a Research Assistant on the Institute for the Study of War’s Iraq portfolio, where she has focused recently on the Iraqi political crisis. Her work includes “Iraqi Parliament Update: Quorum Reached as Reform Front Fractures,” “Iraq Awaits Court Ruling on Legitimacy of Parliamentary Actions,” and a co-authorship on “Kurdish Objectives in the Iraqi Political Crisis.” Ms. Anagnostos was previously an intern with ISW’s Iraq Team.
Ms. Anagnostos received her B.A. from the University of Chicago in Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations and spent a summer studying abroad in Amman, Jordan. She is proficient in Arabic.
