Andie Parry is the Middle East Team Lead with ISW’s Middle East Security Program. Andie predominantly focuses on Iranian-backed activities in Lebanon, Jordan, the Palestinian Territories, and Syria. She has covered several regional crises with ISW including the fall of the Assad Regime, Hamas’ October 7 attacks, and Iranian ballistic missile attacks on Israel. Andie works closely with ISW’s geospatial intelligence team to map the frontlines of conflicts across the Middle East.
Prior to her involvement with ISW, Andie worked with the US Department of State to map Chinese information operations targeting Middle Eastern audiences. Andie is a two-time Critical Language Scholarship recipient and speaks Levantine Arabic. Andie holds a BA from Pitzer College in Claremont, California where she specialized in Middle Eastern Studies and International Politics.
