Carolyn Moorman

Middle East Security Researcher

Carolyn Moorman is a Researcher with ISW's Middle East Security Program. Carolyn previously interned with ISW in Spring 2022 on the Axis of Resistance portfolio, as well as with the Critical Threats Project in Fall 2021. Prior to joining ISW full-time, she focused on security in the Middle East and Africa at the New Lines Institute for Strategy and Policy. She graduated from Miami University of Ohio in 2021, specializing in Middle Eastern Security and Arabic. She is currently pursuing a Master's in National Security and Intelligence at the Washington, D.C. campus of Texas A&M University's Bush School of Government and Public Service. Her research interests include irregular warfare, proxy groups, and the Wagner Group's activities in Central Africa.
