Addie Maguire

Special Assistant to the President

 

Addie Maguire is the Special Assistant to the President at the Institute for the Study of War. In this role, she coordinates with and assists the Executive Officer to ensure alignment of all aspects of the organization's operations. Prior to joining ISW, she worked at the Defense Intelligence Agency and deployed as a civilian for the Department of the Army. Ms. Maguire was awarded the National Intelligence Meritorious Unit Citation and the Joint Civilian Service Commendation Award.

In previous roles, she worked as a museum curator and a business manager. She is a published author and brings a wealth of experience in international affairs, business management, intelligence operations, and defense policy.  

Ms. Maguire holds a Master of Science in Strategic Intelligence (MSSI) from the National Intelligence University and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Oregon State University. She also holds a Master's Certificate in Museum Collections Management and Care from George Washington University and was trained at the Smithsonian Institution.
