Haley Zehrung

Haley Zehrung is a Russia Researcher at the Institute for the Study of War. Haley holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a Master of Arts in Russian, Eastern European, and Eurasian Regional Studies from Columbia University. Her research interests include nationalist populism, ethnic conflict, and democratic backsliding. She speaks Russian, Serbo-Croation, and some Uzbek. Previously, she lived in Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan, where she conducted fieldwork and taught English.
