Brendan Perkinson

Brendan Perkinson serves as Operations Coordinator at the Institute for the Study of War, supporting office management, IT coordination, and travel and event logistics for ISW’s national security research mission. Brendan brings more than five years of operations experience across nonprofit and higher-education organizations, most recently as Office Coordinator and Administrative Assistant at Accion International, where he managed front-desk operations, executive support, travel logistics, and served as Emergency Response Coordinator. Earlier, as a Business Analyst at the National Defense University, he coordinated faculty scheduling, guest lectures, and institutional events in a senior-level national security education environment. His attendance at the 2012 Harvard Model United Nations helped shape an interest in foreign affairs and national security that has only grown over time.

Brendan’s expertise spans office operations, executive support, event and travel coordination, vendor and facilities management, and budget/expense processing. He is proficient in Microsoft Office and platforms including Qualtrics, Blackboard, and Salesforce, and has studied French and Spanish.

Brendan holds a Master of Science in National Security Affairs and International Relations from Nova Southeastern University (3.95 GPA) and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Binghamton University. His graduate coursework included U.S. Foreign Policy, National Intelligence Collection, and Ethical Issues in the NSA. He earned Dean’s List honors for four semesters at Binghamton and volunteered with Liberty in North Korea, a human-rights advocacy program.
